Medical Unit
The Medical Unit of the local mental health system includes 1.5 FTE
psychiatrists, two psychiatric nurse practitioners and two nurses who
provide a range of medical services to residents of Josephine County.
These services include psychiatric assessments and evaluations,
consultations, referral to community partner staff, consulting via a
direct phone line for primary care providers, prescribing psychotropic
medications, and medication monitoring and management. In the past year
402 individuals were served by the Medical Unit.
