Stable, safe and affordable housing plays a large role in helping to maintain mental wellness. Support with housing can improve not just mental health but the overall health of individuals and help reduce the need for health care and social services.
Options has a long history of developing and managing safe, affordable housing for people with mental health and/or addiction recovery needs in addition to other specialty populations. Options low-density apartment buildings and shared homes are tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals in recovery, and are located throughout our community and accessible by public transit. Many of the tenants in the apartments that Options has developed are or have received services from Options at one time or another. Others have not. Either way, the importance of healthy housing for those working on mental wellness and recovery from substance abuse is an overarching goal for Options.
