Independent Housing

Safe, clean and affordable housing is a major factor that affects mental health. Options has developed 96 units of independent housing over the years.  Some of these apartment complexes have been transferred to other non-profit entities for their oversight however, Options currently operates 61 units located in five low density sites.

You may pick up a Pre-Application at any of the following locations and during the listed times.

  • **Management Office: 1215 SW G St., Grants Pass OR 97526 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, except when closed for holidays)

  • **Blackberry Knoll: 1249 North Hill Drive, Grants Pass OR 97526 (7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  •  3. The Cedars: 1935 Hungry Hill, Grants Pass OR 97527 (7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  •  **The Willows: 300 SE M St., Grants Pass OR 97526 (7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  • **StarThistle: 1971 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, Oregon 97520 (7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  •  **Hillside: 1545 Harbeck Rd., Grants Pass OR 97527 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, except when closed for holidays)

  •  **Bryson Center: 200 Beatty St. Medford, OR 97501 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, except when closed for holidays)

  •  **Hersey 370 E. Hersey St., Ashland OR 97520 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, except when closed for holidays)

**Completed Pre-Applications may be returned to these locations and dropped off at the front desk or placed in the office’s secure mail slot.

Eligible applicants will be placed on the Waiting List in the order in which their Pre-Application is received by the Housing Dept. You will receive a written notice if you are not placed on the Waiting List. Please refer to the Tenant Selection Plan (available at Management Office) for Waiting List procedures.

 

Options' Independent Housing is clean, safe and affordable and designated for those who have experienced mental health issues.  Options housing is located near public transit stops which helps ensure that apartment residents are able to get to work, school, appointments and whatever other activities comprise their day.  Several of Options independent housing programs have won the city of Grants Pass Awards of Excellence for design, beauty and energy efficiency.

The Cedars  12 one bedroom units for mental health consumers in Grants Pass.

Manzanita  7 apartments developed, owned and operated by Options.  This facility is located in Grants Pass and provides permanent housing for chronically homeless individuals.

Community members interested in Options apartments can stop by Options administration building at 1215 G Street in Grants Pass or Options Hillside Center or Creekside I or II and pick up a rental application.
